In Reception we have been learning all about the primary colours and discovering how to make the secondary colours. We started off by reading some brilliant stories about mixing colours: 'Mix It Up' by Herve Tullet and 'Mouse Paint' by Ellen Stoll Walsh.
Firstly, we got all messy when we were making the colour green by mixing blue and yellow on the paper!
Then we mixed orange using red and yellow. We created some Autumn trees by printing the new colour using orange fruits.
To make purple, the children ,mixed blue and red then applied it to the paper with their fingers to create a bunch of grapes.
